⁶ The priests then brought the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, underneath the wings of the cherubim. ⁷ The wings of the cherubim were spread out covering the place where the Ark was. The cherubim covered the Ark and its poles. ⁸ The poles stretched out so that one could see the ends of the poles in the Holy Place in front of the inner sanctuary, but one could not see them outside. They are still there up to the present.
